What to Expect From RemodelMatch
We do things differently than Angi, Thumbtack, and HomeAdvisor. Here's exactly how our process works — and why it's calmer, quieter, and more useful for Nebraska homeowners.
Step 1 — You tell us about your project (2 minutes)
You fill out our short get-matched form. We ask for your project type, city, budget range, timeline, and a quick description of what you're trying to do. The more detail you give, the better your match.
We never ask for a credit card. We never share your phone number with anyone outside your matched contractor. And we don't auto-subscribe you to anything.
Step 2 — A real human reviews your project
This is the part everyone else skips. A person on our team reads what you wrote, looks at your scope and budget, and picks one local contractor whose specialty, capacity, and city coverage actually fit. We're not running an automated bid-blast.
If your project is unusual or borderline (an unusual addition, a vintage Dundee bungalow, a tight Lincoln lot), we may take an extra hour to find the right person rather than send a generic match.
Step 3 — One vetted contractor reaches out within 24 hours
Your contractor will call or email you, usually the same day. They already have your project details, so the conversation is about your home — not a discovery questionnaire.
From there it's a normal contractor relationship: site visit, scope, written quote, references if you want them.
Step 4 — We check in around the 48-hour mark
Two days after we make the match, we send you a quick email asking how it's going. There are three buttons: yes they reached out, the project is already started, or no thanks — re-match me.
If you tap 're-match,' we pick a different contractor and send your project to them instead. No questions, no fees, no awkward calls. We sell each lead exactly once at a time, so re-matching is part of the deal.
What you'll never get from us
No pay-to-play upgrades. No premium tiers. No 'verified contractor' badges sold for $200 a month. No spam from 9 different remodelers fighting for your project. No texts at 8pm from a 'home consultant.'
Just one good local match. And if that one isn't the right one, we try again — for free.
