RemodelMatch ("we," "our," or "us") is a Nebraska-based contractor matching service. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email ares@remodelmatch.net.
When you use our get-matched form, we collect: your name, email, phone, project address (city and ZIP), project type, budget range, project timeline, and a free-text description of your project. When you apply to join our contractor network we additionally collect business name, license number, years of experience, service areas, and a description of your business.
We also automatically collect basic technical information when you visit the site: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. This is used for security, fraud prevention, and basic analytics.
For homeowners, we use your project details to hand-pick one local contractor whose specialty, capacity, and service area match your project, and to share that information with that single contractor so they can contact you. If that match is not a fit, we re-match you with a different contractor and share your information with the new contractor — and only with that new contractor.
We may also use your contact info to send you transactional emails about your match (confirmation, our 48-hour check-in, and any re-match notifications).
For contractors who apply to join our network, we use your information to evaluate your application, verify your license and insurance, and contact you about onboarding.
We do not sell your information. We do not share homeowner contact information with multiple contractors at once, and we do not share it with any third-party data broker, marketing list, or affiliate.
Your project details are shared only with: (a) the one contractor we have currently matched you with, and (b) any subsequent contractor you ask us to re-match you with.
We may share information when required by law (subpoena, court order) or to protect against fraud or abuse.
We use a small number of standard service providers to operate the site: Gmail / Google Workspace for transactional email (sender: ares@remodelmatch.net), Replit for application hosting, and standard analytics tooling. These providers are bound by their own privacy practices and process data only as needed to provide the service.
We use a single signed cookie to keep our internal team logged in to the admin area. We do not use marketing or advertising cookies, and we do not use third-party trackers like Facebook Pixel.
We retain homeowner project records and dispatch history indefinitely so we can support re-matching, follow-up, and quality control. You can request deletion of your record at any time by emailing ares@remodelmatch.net; we will delete within 30 days unless we are legally required to retain it.
You can ask us to: see what information we have about you, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. Send any of these requests to ares@remodelmatch.net from the email address on file. We respond within 30 days.
RemodelMatch is intended for adult homeowners and contractors. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards (HTTPS in transit, signed httpOnly cookies, access-controlled admin tooling). No system is 100% secure; if we ever experience a breach affecting your information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable Nebraska law.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will post the updated version here and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
